Question 1

How do I add DjVu files?

Accepted Answer

Tap + in the Library to pick files from the Files app (iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, Dropbox and other providers). You can also open a .djvu file from Mail, Safari or any app with Open in DjVu Reader, or send books from your computer with Wi‑Fi Transfer in Settings. Step by step: how to open DjVu files on iPhone.

Question 2

How does Wi‑Fi Transfer work?

Accepted Answer

Open Settings › Wi‑Fi Transfer on your iPhone or iPad and type the address it shows into a browser on a computer on the same Wi‑Fi network. Drop your DjVu files on the page and they appear in your Library. Files go straight from your computer to your device and never pass through the internet.

Question 3

Can I search scanned books that have no text?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When a page has no text layer, DjVu Reader recognizes the text on your device, so you can search it, copy it, export it or have it read aloud. Nothing is uploaded.

Question 4

What's free and what's in Pro?

Accepted Answer

Reading is free, with 3 free book uploads. Pro removes the upload limit and unlocks Read Aloud with highlighting, all page themes, search in scanned books and text export. Pro is available weekly or as a one-time lifetime purchase; prices are shown in the app in your currency.

Question 5

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Accepted Answer

Sign in with the same Apple ID, then tap Restore Purchase in Settings › About (or on the upgrade screen). Your lifetime purchase or active subscription comes back right away.

Question 6

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In the app, go to Settings and tap the Pro card's Manage button, or open your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions. You can also manage subscriptions on the web. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.

Question 7

Are my books private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your books, reading progress and bookmarks stay on your device. DjVu Reader has no account and doesn't send your files anywhere.

Question 8

Something isn't working. How do I get help?

Accepted Answer

Email support@djvu.app with your device model, iOS version and, if you can, the file that causes the problem. We usually reply within a day or two. If a book won't open, these fixes usually help.
